Ulead DVD Workshop & motion menus

Hi,
I know how to make motion menus, backgrounds and buttons with Ulead DVD Workshop. BUT... when I make motion button of some chapter, in menu it works but whole chapter in button is played.
Is it possible to edit in and out points from which to which will some chapter button (thumbnail) play, e.g. from 15-25 seconds?
So, I want to have the whole chapter (e.g. 5 minutes) but in menu I want only 15-25 second of this chapter to be played in button (thumbnail).
I hope that you understand what I mean.

I'm not sure since I'm at the office right now but doesn't DVDWS put a time limit of a minute or so on how long the loop plays?

Try taking a look at the Menu Options Panel. Underneath the motion menu checkbox there's a drop down window for time. Perhaps that sets the time for both motion background and motion buttons.

I am running V1.2 and I just made motion buttons and motion background and it worked fine. On the menu page click on the menu tab and uncheck Menu Time out Action. Check Motion Menu and/or Motion Background. What ever time you select on the pull down will be the duration of both motion buttons and/or the motion background. Again, make sure you have Menu Time out action UNCHECKED.

In edit you can choose a different starting image for each chapter except chapter 1. The new image is where the motion button will start. When you click on the button it will start at chapter X not the picture you choose. The background and all the buttons play for the time you have selected in the pulldown.

Hmmm... I'm running v1.0 and I made for chapter X different starting image but motion button starts from the beggining of the chapter and not at the beggining of the starting image. This is the problem. Do you have the solution?

You are right. The motion starts at the start of the chapter not at the new image. Sorry. I see you now can have a new image for chapter 1. You should update to 1.2 uinless you have the trial version.

I don't have DVD Workshop original so I can't download 1.2 update. Can you, please, send me CD Key so I can update the DVD workshop?

OK... I manage to download DVD Workshop upgrade patch. I will try with 1.2 version.

I tried 1.2 version of DVD Workshop and I have the same problem. Motion buttons work from the begining of the chapter and NOT from the begining of thumbnail of this chapter. So, is it possible to start the motion button from the thumbnail that represents this chapter?
