  1. ive encoded a (pal) movie with tmpgenc, the resulting file plays fine through powerdvd, its only when i author it with moviefactory thats when the problems start, the resulting .vob files play out of sync, even when the dvd -r has been burnt, the audio is still out,any ideas why movifactory is doing this.

    thanks for any input!

  3. Did you down-load the patches? One of the patches is for A\V sync problems for movie files that were encoded in another program and not Movie Factory.

I have A\V sync problem if I join my clips in MF using "Make Movie". I also encode in TMPGEnc. If I bring my movie into MF already joined in another program (TMP), I don't have any problems. The problem only occurs if I join my movie in MF but did not encode in MF. Also everything is fine if I encode in MF and then join using "Make Movie" but I don't like the way it turns out. It is OK, but it is much better after running through TMP.

I called U-lead about this and they are working on fixing the problem. They are sending me their Video 5 so I can encode in that program instead of TMP to see if the problem still exists. I'll post here and let you know how things turn out. They said I should have the Video 6 by tomorrow. Probably by middle of next week I'll have some results for you.
If you have not down-loaded the patches, make sure you do it because it is supposed to help for anyone encoding in another program - this patch does not address the problem of joining clips though. If you are also having this problem you may want to call them and let them know so they will know others are having a problem. When I talked to them Tuesday, I was told they have not had anyone report this problem except me.

I hope this helps you out. Good Luck.
