  1. Hi folks,

Is there a way of playing MPEG2 Files from a CD; in other words can the software player be completely independent of any players on the PC?. Thanks heaps in advance.

    Regards,

    Joe Maruca.

    Hi
You want to put an mpeg2 and a software player on the same CD and play it in a standalone DVD player???
I don't think thats possible. Few DVD players play raw mpeg2 files and those that do I don't believe need a software player to do this. I may be wrong.
Why don't you want to create VCD or SVCD???

  7. Fozzee,

I want to play the MPEG2 file from a personal computer, not a DVD player. Because not all operating systems have the MPEG2 codecs, I just want to be able to distribute a CD-R that has it's own software player that can be played on any WIndows based PC. Thanks.

    Regards,

    Joe.
