Help w/ s-video out

Hey everyone. I have a mobile radeon 7500 w/ s-video out and updated drivers. However, when i connect it to my TV and try to play AVI files, they don't show up. MPEG and QUICKTIME show up fine, but when i try to play an AVI file the screen is black where the movie should be playing. The file shows up on my comp screen but not on my tv. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

If theres nothing i can do, what's a good file conversion program? Currently i have blaze media pro, but it takes forever to convert a 700 meg avi movie to mpeg2. Thanks again.

Are you using the ATi file player to play this on your TV? If not, try this. Also, try playing the movie in different TV output modes, such as cloning your monitor output signal in the "display" menu or enabling "theater" mode under the "overlay" menu.
