  1. I am wondering if there is a way to work out how to fit a movie (namely DivX) onto X number of cd's accurately in VCD format.

Secondly Im planning on making VCD's from anime episodes, and want to find out how to make each episode selectable via the Skip button. I think this means I want to make 'chapters?' from each episode.

    thanks for Your help

    it's even easier for VCD's
80 minutes of standard VCD will fit on an 80 minute CD
that's all there is to it...but that holds true only if it is standard

As I recall, Divx is an AVI format. So you will have to convert to MPEG-1 to install it on a VCD, correct?

convert the divx to VCD first, and split that to the right size...that will be easier
