ok as the subject says i recently tried buring a .avi file with nero, which is says it can convert the avi file to a mpeg, but when ever i try to play it in with windvd, or my apex dvd player, i get sound and a flashing green screen on the tv or monitor, how can i fix this? thanks for anyhelp.

The first thing your doing wrong is letting Nero do the conversion. As CD burning software it's one of the best, but Nero generally does a lousy job of converting to mpeg. You’re better off using TMPEGnc to encode first then burning to VCD. There are other encoders that will do the same job, but you can't beat the price (free). You can find it in the tools section on the left hand side of the page.
