When I authored a dvd using two mpeg files there was a slight pause
when chapter 1 was finished. What is the problem? Was I supppose to
join the mpeg? Help....

It'd help with a little more info............like what you authored them with ????
If it was Nero, it defaults with a 5 second pause between tracks. In your layout, after you add the clips, right click them and go to properties and change the 5 seconds to 0, you'll be fine then.~~~Spidey~~~

Ooops, my bad I was thnking VCD. Sorry. But if you used Nero, it may still act in this fashion.

Creating chapters doesn't mean you must use seperate mpeg's.
You use 1 mpeg, in which the chapters are defined. This way not pause will occurre between chapters...
