I bought the USB version 2 days ago, for simplicity's sake, having already got 2 network cards in my machine, capture with my standard WinTV card won't work
I was not at all impressed with the quality of the USB product, the picture quality, even on the highest Bitrate was poor - and the sound quality was also poor. There was a lag between operations presumably because of the USB link.
needless to say I took it back
They said I could try the PCI version, and return this also if not happy.
This is like a different product. I suspect that more work has been done on the drivers, and I'm using the very latest, but the quality is incomparable, the sound is good, picture excellent, and there are many more options available - high bit-rates, SVCD rates, user customisable rates etc.
I may even keep this one!
