I have an AVI file that I would like to convert to MPEG.
It will play fine through Media player, however when I try to encode it it tells me the file is corrupt in some way.
Is there any software I could use to capture it from media player without a capture card?

    Please Help

    Cheers

You may want to load it into Virtual Dub and select Video-->Scan video stream for errors to see if you have any corrupt frames.

Are you able to save the file through Media Player once you install it there?

Load it like you are going to play it in Media Player. Then select File-->Save As..., etc.
