I dont have the slightest clue why,but for some reason when I install Nero my drives disapear. I goto my device manager and it tells me that the drivers were found but it could not locate the hardware. I am running WinXp on a Dell Inspiron 4100. I have a toshiba cd burner in my bay,and I have a pioneer 104 in a Usb drive kit. This has happend before and I just uninstall nero and then goto restore to a safe point. I've heard Nero is good. But it kills my drives. I tryed to search to see for similar problems but I couldnt see anything. Am I alone with this problem. Please respond. I have an Image File I want to burn and its set for Nero.![]()
Thanks

I had the same problem with Nero 5.5.4. I upgraded to the new version and that fixed the problems.

Are you also installing Nero's InCD? or even the Virtual CDrom drive thing (Which sometimes appears for no reason in the install)? If so, I think all you'd need to do is uninstall that device driver, which is either conflicting with software, or your actual cd drives.
