  1. hi
i just need to know a few things about if i am doing it right.
1)when i capture from my VHS using adobe premiere 10mins worth is like 1 nearly 2GB. i am new to adobe so i might not have set it up propably . can anyone help.
2)my computer is good and i think it is good enough to do VCD's

    it is 400 or 500mhz (can't remember)
i have nearly 5GB free space
but my dads computer has about 30GB and i can save files on there through my network.

so i just need to know how to get the size down abit.
when i compress to avi through virtualdub it goes down to about 100mb but is there someway of doing this when i capture instead of afterwards.
    please help.

just use a different codec when capturing in avi. better quality will give you larger file size. if your looking for a good codec, try divx5. id recommend capturing with different software. what kind of capture card do you have?

and yes you can make a vd with those numbers (but you might not have enough space to rip dvds to vcd)
