  1. Just burned my first DVD-R from an analog source. No too shabby thusfar. Had a question in regards to authoring a disc to allow for manual advancing of still frames (need to manually advance a video frame by frame for a kinesiology class).

Do I need to author the disc in a special way to allow for this? I'm using Ulead to capture, Vegas 3.0 to edit (VV won't see an analog source through my DV deck into the firewire card), and burn with DVDit LE. I can pause and slow mo both ways just fine, but when I pause and try to manually advance frames I'm told the disc won't allow it.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks

Disk won't allow it? Not heard of this with any DVD-R before. Try using PowerDVD to see if this can be done on you computer. Load your .IFOs into IFOEdit and see if there are any Prohibited User OPerations (PUOP) enabled. If there are, use the program to remove them then reburn the disk.

    Interesting problem...

  3. Now I can frame advance, slow motion and Fast search in either direction, now I do record my DVD-R's using a Home DVD recorder, but the special effects I think really depends on your DVD Player itself.
