well, though some guys already told me that, i still wanted to give it a try hoping i might be an exception, and i was not.
never got the damn thing to work capping vcd, time and again it locks up during capping, called the tech couple times, the last time i called a guy told me to download a driver for my display card, then hew, my system crashed, it took me a whole day to back up all the data, and reinstall the two operating systems on my computer, plus all the softwares, you guys know how many applications a video guy runs on the computer, and mine double that 'cause i'm running winxp and win2k.
guess what, although i've boxed the damn thing ready to return after computer crashed, after the fresh installation, i somehow opened the box in the hope it might work on a fresh, clean computer, but it didn't.
i'm not gonna try any other hardware cap hard any more, just get back to my pinnacle pro-one, it's time-consuming yet reliable. it's really really a pain looking for a hardware mpeg1&2 encoder that works, i've spent hours and hours reading all the confusing and conflicting reviews on different boards. then my conclusion after couple weeks of struggle is that the whole thing is still at the infant stage, yet the manufactures just can't wait to cash in on it.
i'll wait...
