Trying to burn a .bin file created with VCDEasy, using CDRDAO. Below is a copy of the logged errors:

    [CDRDAO Write]
    Cdrdao version 1.1.5
    1,1,0: PLEXTOR CD-R PX-W4012A Rev: 1.01
    Using driver: Generic SCSI-3/MMC - Version 1.2 (options 0x0000)
Starting write simulation ?: I/O error.: scsi sendcmd: retryable error
cmd finished after 0.000s timeout 20s
ERROR: Cannot retrieve drive capabilities mode page.
    at speed 0...
cmd finished after 0.000s timeout 180s
ERROR: Cannot retrieve write parameters mode page.
    ERROR: Simulation failed.

    My settings are: speed - 6x/buffer - 512/driver - generic-mmc.

    ASPI seems valid: YES
    This is what aspichk.exe reports:

    wnaspi32.dll version 4.7.0.0
    winaspi.dll version 4.6.0.1021
    aspi32.sys version 4.7.0.0
    wowpost.exe version 4.6.0.1021

I'm told that, even tho' aspichk.exe reports a bad ASPI layer, this mixing of versions is OK, as far as VCDEasy is concerned (I'm running WinXP).

    Any help appreciated.

Solution found: apparently CDRDAO needs to have a complete ASPI 4.6 layer. So used ForceASPI to correct that.
