  1. I've bought a WinTV GO card for my machine, but I cannot capture without losing 40% of the frames. I have a 400MHZ Celeron, 64MB RAM.. The system requirements for the WinTV Card are a Pentium75MHz, so I know my machine should work fine. I have used the WinTV2000, VirtualDub, and Also the WinTV Video capture program that came with the card. I have connected my VCR to the TV in, on the back of the card, and I can watch movies fine. And I've heard something about having DMA enabled.. what is that for? and how do I enable it? But when I go to capture I lose almost half of the frames.. What can I do? Is it better to connect to the composite on the back of the card? What should I do? I appreciate anyones help.

Capture performance will be highly dependent on the capture codec and resolution. Don't use any of the junk that comes with Winders. Use the PicVideo MJPEG(lowest cpu strain) or huffyuv(higher cpu load but still fast on must systems).

352x240 is easy to cap but poor quality. 352x480 much preferable(or x576 if pal). 480x480 and up for the faster systems.
