  1. I have just bought a pioneer DVD Recorder A04. I have authored a DVD movie with Ulead's trial version of DVD Movie factory. The movie was burn onto both a DVD-RW and DVD-R disk. Both disc played ok on my Pioneer A04 and a laptop DVD Rom.

However, when I play both disc on my Pioneer standalone DVD player, sections of the movie with horizontal pan movements appear jerky, other sections appear ok. I have also played the movie on my sony PS 2 and it has the same problem!

Could this be a problem with the Pioneer DVR or could this be a problem with the Ulead DVD Movie factory. Please help!

  2. Did you let Ulead do the encoding? Use Tmpeg to encode, only use ulead to do the authoring, and make sure you use the slowest motion search setting on tmpeg. I use ulead to burn dvd-r and they play great on my sony dvd player.

  3. I believe the encoding was done by Pinnacle Studio DV SE Version 7, and only use Ulead DVD Movie Factory for the authoring.

I have been told that the problem could be due to the way the interlace was place top or bottom first. Will try to find out!

  4. The problem has been solved, previous version of Studio 7 Version was the culprit. The problem disappeared after I upgraded to Studio 7 Version 7.13 by downloading the patch from Pinnacle!

DVD movie made is now clear and jerkiness is gone! Nothing wrong with Ulead's DVD Movie factory!

  5. And don't forget to get the patch for Movie Factory from Ulead's site as well, that cleared up some audio/video sync problems I was having.
