I'm new to the Authoring game. I've been playing around with DVDit LE and was thinking of upgrading to PE. My goal is to create a basic DVD that I could mass market as some point. My question is will upgrading to PE cover all the DVD-R,RW, DVD+R,RW concerns that I think I need to have, but am unsure of? They say it has a DLT output option that is used by all the DVD replicators, does this cover me? Could I do what I want with SE? Is there a better product that I should spend my $500 bucks on?
Thanks

From what I remember, the only thing PE has over SE that is worth considering is two channle AC3 support. Other than that it appears identical to the SE version. It still does not support motion menus or many other features. As for output to DLT devices, this is only useful if you have a DLT tape drive! Even so, any authoring app will output to HD and the files can then be copied to DLT using normal backup/copy methods.
Basically, IMHO, its not worth it.
