I just installed an AIW 128 16 meg card into my computer on a win98 os. I installed all of the software and drivers. Each time I click on the TV button on the ATI task bar a message reading: The TV player failed to initialize the video. Ensure the correct video drivers have been installed and close any application which may be playing video such as DVD or Web TV before attempting to restart TV.
I have no other programs running and all of the drivers are installed. I have reinstalled everything several times, but nothing has helped. I would be thankful for any help.

uninstall all the ATI stuff you have already done. if this is the first thing of a clean install, you might just want to blank it and start over to be safe.
install DirectX 8
install DirectX 8 DV/Vidcap update
install the 4.12.6292 drivers
install MMC 6.3 into the default directory
install MMC 7.1 into a different directory (mmc 6.3 might not work anymore, but the capture driver it installs may be important to using 3rd party capture programs)
install ATI DVD 4.1 update into the MMC 7.1 directory
if you have a VIA KT133A chipset install the v4.27 4-in-1 pack. for other chipsets, try the newest one.
