I am looking to create a VCD disc which also has regular PC/Mac data on it as well so that if the PC/Mac does not support VCD they can install the player from the disc or play an mpeg file direct - where on the disc can i put the data and what software would be best to create this disc? i have Nero which happily creates VCD 2.0 but wont let me add data as well...

    thanks for your help

  2. Yes of course.

The VCD already contains an ISO9660 filesystem and you can put additional files on it.

With Nero, all that is required is to drag your additional files onto the filesystem of the VCD in the left hand window.

You can also add more files onto a VCD if you are authoring with VCDImager as well (much easier if you use VCDEasy rather than editing the XML by hand).

    Regards.
