Hi, I have v-5.5.6.4 of Nero (which is great). It doesn't offer a wizard for svcd (that I can find) and prompts me to buy a plug-in ($16). Is this normal or am I missing something here.
I also have tmpge, which is also great. It prompts me to buy tmpgePlus to do svcd ($48). Says it's a licensing issue.
Question - Is the nero plugin doing the same thing as the tmpgePlus? Or, are there separate encoding-editing / burning issues to consider? Do I need to buy them both?
Thanks for the help.

I would (and have) bought Tmpgenc Plus. The mpg-2 plug-in for Nero is pretty bad and Tmpgenc is the best mpg-1 and 2 encoder out there for the money. Some people say that Tmpgenc is the best, period. It also does much more than just encode to mpg-2.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
