Hi,
Before I start i'll say that my DVD player does support SVCD and has played them before.
I downloaded Stargate SG-1 Season 6 SVCD episodes 1 & 2 a few days ago and they play perfectly on my computer. I used Nero to burn the first episode to SVCD and took it to my DVD player, this is where it gets strange.
The disk reads, but thats all it does right. The picture is jerky and the sound stutters. When I hit 1X fast foward the sound players normally but naturally the picture gets even more jerky and is nowhere near smooth.
Its a 43min episode but when put in the DVD player it gives a total time of 75min
Any ideas?
Thanks
John Addison

With my 3201 Apex player I have to turn it off and then back on to play different disk types (VCD, SVCD or DVD).
75 minutes shows the total in CD audio or VCD time (80 min space on a 80 disk or 74 min on a 74 minute disk).
Hope this helps

Still does not explain why the movies play in slow motion and when on 1x fast foward the sound players right but the movie is still slow and jumpy
