I read the responses to his earlier post - where everyone was having problems with it - except one guy who used ?MPEG Correcter" to make his files compliant. Apparently it will not accept regular Whitebook compliant mpegs. One person said he was using PAL, but I am not sure if the other were using NTSC.
If anyone has successfully burned a VCD with this program - please indicate any advantages it might have over Nero and/or Roxio EX CD Creator. I want to use it but don't want to go through the learning curve if it does not work for the majority of users. Thanks.

All of my VCD's are with Philips's VCD 2.0. It is a very advanced program. If your not looking for more than what Nero and EZCD offer, than I wouldn't recomend you to try it. As with any professional application, there is a slight learning curve.
If all your after is a couple of mpeg files and a simple menu, then Nero will do the job. And such a project is a useless and time consuming way to use the Tool Kit.
If you want the possibility of radomly played multi leveled menu's, random auto pause points, random entry points? It can do it. Want aduio on that menu? Want full control of the play list? And the list goes on and on.
It is very picky about the assets. And a good deal of VCD knowledge is required.
Just download it, read the whole help file. And decide if it offers what you want/need. I printed a hard copy of the help file, ~120 pages, and find it very informative.
I'm sure if you run into problems, someone with experience with the Toolkit (myself, RFontenot, and many others) will be around to help. Just be sure to use CDRW's at first
BTW, I used mpeg sequence maker to insure compliant entry points -
Actually you've stated the problem backwards. VCD2TK will ONLY accept White Book compliant files. Unfortunately, most of the freeware/shareware tools, like TMPGEnc, don't produce White Book compliant files.
VCD2TK is a VCD authoring program, you cannot burn VCD's with it. Nero and EZCD are burning programs with some limited authoring features.
Personally, I use Nero to burn VCD movies. It's quick and simple. I don't bother with Nero's authoring tools, as I don't need a menu to play a movie.
However, if you want to create a VCD that lets you author a professional quality VCD with still pictures, PowerPoint slides, full motion video with chapters, and CD audio, then the VCD Toolkit is the right tool for the job.
Some people are using VCD2TK to compile their wedding videos and pictures together, others are using it to make professional presentations for their job, and some are using it to put together slide shows and movies of their vacation, or their kid's milestones.
So use the tool that best fits your needs.
