HELP-CAN'T GET VCD's MENU TO PLAY; USED NERO & EZ CDCREA

HELP. I have tried to produce a VCD with a menu structure using Nero 5.5 and EZ CDCreator 5.0 Platinum. I followed the instructions from www.vcdhelp.com but in each instance my standalone DVD player just sequentially plays the videos without showing the inital menu selection screen.

A year ago I produced a vcd that would start by playing a menu selection screen, but I can't remember which program I used. But when I put it in the player, the player displays PBC and sits there until I push a number button on the remote. This is what I want to do but can't get Nero nor EZ CDCreator to do this.

ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Do your old VCDs still play properly?

If not, you've probably turned off PBC (playback control) interpretation on your player. Read your owner's manual to find out how to turn it back on.
