I want to know if it is possible to multiplex a mpeg still picture from either a psd, gif, bmp, or jpg source and combine with mpeg-1 layerII 48K audio to make a regular music cd into a compressed file playable on DVD+R. hehe :P

anyway. What I would like to happen is that when a title is played on the DVD+R that the cd music is played and a picture, probably of the album cover with track title text below it, be displayed while it plays.

I tried to do this with TMPGenc by encoding a psd file with the mp2 but it encoded a video file of the picture which was huge. I just want it to be a still one frame 720x480 or 704x480 image with the audio playin.

I want to do this so I can archive my cds on dvd and be able to play them on my dvd player like quasi DVD-audio but using the compressed mpeg audio (mp2).

Any suggestions and any guidance on doing it in DVDit PE would help too. 8) thanx

the point is it would have the size benefit of an mp3 cd, the playback compatibility of a DVD over mp3 cd, and the video bonus without taking up the space of a motion mpeg of just one image.
