    Hi Guys,

At the moment i'm running -----

    P3 600mhz on a Gigabyte BX2000 mobo
    40gig fujitsu 7200 Master Harddrive
46gig 7200 IBM Deskstar slave Harddrive(its away getting fixed at the minute)
    384meg of pc100 sdram
Chaintech Geforce 2 MX 64meg AGP Graphics card with TVout
    Soundblaster live 1024 sound card
    CRAP pair of speakers
    Toshiba DVD rom drive
    Plextor 12x10x32 Writer
    Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem.

Now that the specs are out of the way, my question is what Video capture card should i buy.

I don't know which would be best for my system.

I'm new to the capturing part of Video to VCD/SVCD but
i'm up to date on converting Divx to VCD/SVCD.

So if any of you good Folks could help, it would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  2. Just received a dazzle II. It hardware captures in VCD or SVCD format. You have to make your own templates to get great capture. Just copied a few DVD's with DVD quality. Just capture, split and burn. No time consumming processing envolved. Best purchased I made because I also spent money on the Marvel G400 and Hauppague PTV cards. I consider those cards bad because it took 15 plus hours to process one average length movie and the quality wasn't that great.

  3. I just saw a ATI All in Wonder capture card and i think it's great because this integrates a 3D accelerator, CableTV display, video capture, some other stuff... all this in a PCI card. One thing that i don't know is that if this card captures directly to VCD or SVCD format, i don't know.

I have a Pinnacle DC10+ card and it's great too (only Video capture) This captures MJPG 8motion jpg8 then i have to wait for the conversion from AVI to MPG to get a VCD!

ATI AIW is great but is more expensive than DC10+
