Is there any programm that can directly capture MPG files?

    Well, it's a silly question.

    I have a Geforce 3 running on a P3 866Mhz computer with 640 Mb RAM.

I downloaded a version of Asus Digital VCR at the ASUS website that
    could.

My windows (98SE) got really messed up and I lost D-VCR.
    I didn't have a backup of D-VCR so I lost it.

After I installed windows again I thought "LET'S DOWNLOAD D-VCR AGAIN!" but IT WASN'T THERE ANYMORE!!!

Now I'm asking you guys "IS THERE ANY OTHER PROGRAM THAT CAN CAPTURE DIRECTLY TO MPG?

I allready tried WinVCR, but it doens't support the GF3 capture driver.

    please help.

    I found it!!!!!
I had to search for the product. (enter keyword in the box & let it search for it)

It found 2 D-VCR's, I downloaded both of them.
The first one was the same as on the Drivers CD, but the other one was the one that could capture MPG's.

You need an ASUS Videocard of the V8200 series with video in.
Like a Geforce 3. (The one I have)

  3. Hi.
Will that Digital VCR work for my ASUS V6600. And where did you download that program? Could you provide me with the link. Is the quality of the MPG capture really good?

    Thanks.

I really want to give you the link, but I won't do it.

    Why not?

    well...

If you install the program, it will screw windows up.
It screwed up my windows , and I lost some things.

So I'm not gonna give you the link because the program is gonna screw up your computer.

You should use the ASUS live util on the CD to capture an AVI
and after that you should convert the AVI 2 MPG with TMPGEnc.

    It worked for me.
I made an MPG of a music video and I captured a VHS tape and converted it to MPG so I could burn it on a VCD.
