    WARNING!

I've tried to upgrade from 5.5.2.3 to 5.5.2.5 and I got the error on the VCD/SVCD templates : "The Pegasus ImagXpress library is not installed" ...
    So, I can't see any menu image/preview.

I'm trying to install NERO 5.5.2.4 first (?).

  9. Yeah I have been using Nero 5.5.3.5 for awhile now also and have never had any problems... I have noticed that you have to have a lot of system resources free for it to come out perfect, but just let it burn then come back to the machine and no problems...

    @ Clotz2000:

Nero 5.5.<3>.5 was released 2 days ago ...

I tried to install v. 5.5.2.4 prior to 5.5.3.5, and the same thing on 5.5.3.5 : "The Pegasus ImagXpress library is not installed" on VCD/SVCD templates.
The imagxpr5.dll and registry is OK.
I've tried to uninstall, but it is the same.
I'll try to contact Nero people.

    I'm using W2000.

does anyone know if they fixed the bug that keeps you from rw/ff on apex660 players?

i would prefer to not have to use vcd imager.

Unfortunately the file structure of SVCD Nero has not been modified, therefore I doubt that the FF/FREW problems with APEX or other Players will improve.

    @ArniThor

I haven't a clue what files you downloaded. The new 5.5.3.5 version shows the scaling up to 125mins and lets you move the red and green markers up to 120mins.

    @all

The menu system that worked for some on versions 5.5.1.8 + 5.5.2.3 but not on higher versions - still has NOT been fixed.

I suspect they update their version history as soon as people start reporting back to them what has improved... >:->

I've got my problem solved (ImagXpress).

I've just downloaded the file (from server3) and now all seems to work fine.

    Thanks Ahead anyway...

  19. btw, does anyone happen to know, whether this version has still the bin/cue bug? I'm just being curious

(btw, this is for the people who actually know what bug I'm refering to, all others may just ignore this question, since I don't want the usual 'nero has always worked perfect for me and I'm glad I payed for it' praising

Guess what hvr? - it works! Don't need to turn off the PBC to view the example clips. Still have to check if it takes the 2 secs off the end though.

Oh yes, Nero has always worked perfect for me and I'm glad I didn't pay for it as it came with my drive <grin>

    yo bro.

you did pay for it if it came with your drive.

software for cd-burning is always bundled with cd burners @ a low low price for the mfr because that's all the software companies can get.

think about it. cd-burning software is the first thing anyone with a cd burner would pirate if it were not bundled.

this is why it always comes with the burner...

  22. I've just played around with nero in vmware....
well, I must admit that they fixed the SEARCH.DAT bug (fyi, they set the timebase to '0' instead of '0.5' second steps... that's a very stupid one, especially since it's so obvious ... out of
5 svcd related bugs which I've noticed since the beginning of the 5.5 series (btw, how long did they take to fix this one? 4 months? if so maybe in a bit less than 2 years they'll have the remaining ones fixed too

haven't checked though if they introduced any new one though... but maybe they didn't...

ps: if you buy your writer as bulk versions you don't get those crap-bundles and you usually don't pay as well... and well, you don't get that fancy retail package around the hardware either...

Are you complaining to that fact?

    Seriously now though:
Still 2 major bugs, SVCD menus don't work on all standalone DVD Players as they did in 5.5.2.3. and
    the Scandata.dat problem.

  24. I havent seen any mention regarding the bug i had with nero 5.5.** everytime i loaded a movie into vcd or svcd to be burned the time gauge overstated by bout 10 mins, so if my file was 700 meg it would indicate on the time bar that it was 80 mins *800 meg*, anyone know if that has been fixed??
