What I do is set my vcr to record movies and stuff at night time, when I'm asleep, so that I can capture and encode it when I wake up. The problem is, I get this added noise on the vhs tape that makes the final vcd look like crap. Along with the usual white specks that appear every now and then on VHS tapes, I get these horizontal grey lines that go across the whole width of the video every now and then. It looks very unprofessional. Any help getting rid of this? or a reccomendation of VHS brand that doesnt do this? I'm using Jensen tapes, and recording at SP speed.
