  1. I just downloaded starwars episode 2..
but the whole file is 782mb

So it is possible to burn it into (s)vcd with a 700mb cd?
Can easy cd creator do that?

When i try with VCDEasy it says something like "approximate Cd size 792mb" and marks with red text.

  2. Yes, use TMPEnc to encode it to fit on 700 mb.

  3. S/VCDs burn the video tracks in MODE2 Form2 sectors. In essence, you can burn up to about a 796 MB MPEG track onto a standard 80min/700MB CD-R disc without overburning.

If you overburn, you can fit even more (1-2 minutes more).

Thus, to answer your original question, the answer is YES, and you can do it without even overburning an 80min/700MB CD.

  4. Can VCDEasy burn "MODE2 Form2 sectors"?
    vcd1, vcd2 or svcd?

  5. VCDs and SVCDs must have the video tracks burnt in the appropriate sector size (i.e., Mode2 Form2).

VCDEasy (i.e., VCDImager / CDRDAO) can correctly make S/VCDs. Hence, it burns the correct sector size.
