Used VirtualDub for a few months with no problems. Last night I was playing CDs in the CD rom drive with Winamp (didn't work at first), and now VirtualDub doesn't receive the line-in signal from capture card (via Soundblaster Live) even though I can hear the audio stream through the speakers. I must have done something while trying to get CD audio through Winamp, but didn't know how I got it working.
So why wouldn't VirtualDub be capturing the audio stream if I can plainly hear the line-in on my system?
