  1. I have an Oritron dvd100,and have put in the region and vcd hacks.I still get no valid disc when I put in my vcd.I have used ulead dvd workshop and burned the vcd in the ntsc format.I also have nero installed and have used that to burn in the pal format and neither seems to work.I am hoping I am just missing something small.I have wasted 6 blank discs trying this and would like to find out what I am doing wrong before I waste any more.Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, I would try using CD-RW's.

The frequency of the DVD laser usually makes it unable to read CD-R's because of the type of dye used in making the disk, however CD-RW's often work ok.
