I used Kodak CD-R's and never had problem. Kodak stop producing CD-R's. I recently bought case of 100 TDK CD-R's and having lot of problems. Getting wired error messages
Can any one suggest me best CD-R's in the market? I would not buy TDK CD-R's again. I lost many CD's while making VCDs.
Thanks in advance

memorex and verbatim.
both seem to work exceptionally well for me. -
Where were your TDK's made? Japan or Taiwan. HAve found that I can burn CDRDAO with VCDEasy after DVD2SVCD and have perfect results for my Apex with the Japan / blue dye TDK's. Power calibration failure with Taiwan TDK ( cake box packaging also different). Also failures with Memorex, Phillips. Will soon try Fuji too.

I dont think there is an answer to the question whats the best cdr. Some may work for one person and not another and vise versa. It all depends on what works well with your particular hardware. Personally I have not had any problems with any cdr's I have bought, so for me, the best is the cheapest.

the japan made tdk cd-r's are very good as stated before. the taiwan made ones are made by ritek (memorex and most lower quality cds). i'd stay away from them. their data life is very short. kodak are my favorites (if you can get them). fuji are good as they are made by taiyo yuden. taiyo yuden are pioneers in this market. their quality control standards are very high. if you can afford mitsui you can't go wrong but they are very expensive. hope this helps. check out www.cdmediaworld.com to see their age testing. the results are from a couple of years back but they are still pretty accurate. data life is the most important factor and their results will show that.
