Playback. I use the darn software to burn the SVCD, and it's pretty cool. But the darn CD won't play back in any other application. And it's not becuase if the file size, the particular segment is only 118MB.
Can anybody help out with this?

just the Windows Media player, and the ATI file player (I have the ATI all-in-wonder card). I have tried it on other computers as well. Same thing. I'm sure that it will play back in the Pinnacle file player, but I have tried it yet.

I think you need to use a software DVD player to play your SVCD file, such as windvd or powerdvd. I have a SVCD file that will only play in windvd, media player or ati file player wont touch it.

You are correct. The SVCD does play in WinDVD, which means it will probably play in most standalone DVD players. I just checked that out.
I just read that Windows media player has to have the MPEG2 codec downloaded to it. I downloaded the one here, supplied by "stinky" but it doesn't appear to work. Do you know of any other mpeg2 codecs that can be downloaded for free?
Ahh . . .the difference between VCD and SVCD. I didn't realize that I would need a new codec.
Thanks
