can't play vcd on a sony DVP-S570D

Ripped dvd using smart rip, then used TPMG, then burned using nero 5.5. Checked dvd list and sayed player should read HP cd-rw. Dvd recognizes HP cd-rw as a vcd, show total time of vcd, but will not play the vcd?

Please help. Could it be the burner, using HP 9200 series.

The reason that its not playing is because its only encoded in VCD 1.1, my Samsung DVD player also does the exact same thing, and i use a HP 9500 Burner. You have to get the vcd in 2.0 format or it won't work, when you successfully get it into 2.0 format it should play perfectly.
