Is it possible to burn a VCD-compatible MPEG-1 file in black & white (8-bit greyscale) as opposed to colour? If I capture an old B/W film, it seems a bit of a waste to burn it in colour. In theory it should require a lot less disk space - you might be able to get the whole thing on one disk.
Any ideas, or is it just not in the MPEG-1 specification???
Cheers,
Alan
