I'm looking into options to speed up my SVCD (mpeg2) encoding times. I'd rather not build a new system, so I think an entry level mpeg encoder card would be the best "bang for my buck."
I thought I saw a link to some products in an earlier post, but I couldn't find it.
Basic desired function: Realtime mpeg2 encoding, at user defined bitrate, GOP, etc. Mpeg1 functionality is a bonus, but not necessary.
Price range: $300-$400.
I'm not looking for an mpeg capture card, just something to encode avi files to mpeg2 format, in something close to real time.
