  1. I installed VCDEasy v1.0.9 and installed the latest ASPI drivers v.4.7 and also clicked the Enable CDRDAO Integration in Settings, but every time I launch VCDEasy a message comes up saying "No CD Writer/reader found or ASPI drivers problem". After clicking OK the CD Writer: section is greyed out so I can't select my cd writer. What can I do to fix this??? Thanks in advance.
My CD Writer is a Teac CD-W58E Which is one that is listed that should be able to work.

  2. Try going back to a prev level of ASPI. It worked for me.

  3. Go back to a previous level of aspi??? And how do you propose I do that? Actually my first problem was that I was missing wnaspi32.dll. After I installed that file, it told me that it could not find a cd-r or cd-rom. How do I fix this? I am trying to folow the avi>mpg guide on this site, which requires the activation of the cdrdao integration, which caused these problems. Can anyone tell me how to do the previously suggested, or another way to fix this problem.

Just install your old version over the new one. If that fails you can download Forceaspi and install that. It's not difficult to find. Just do a search in google for forceaspi.

Download the latest version of vcdeasy ( v1.1.0 at www.vcdeasy.org ), install it and install the aspi 4.7 drivers again after that restart your pc.
Open vcdeasy, go to the preferences tab (on the left side of vcdeasy), click on vcdeasy tab (on top of the application) and when you see a textbox with the location of cdrdao files below that box will be a checkbox - click on that checkbox (activate cdrdao integration or something like that) and close vcdeasy. Go to http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html and search for your cd/rw model. After that open vcdeasy again, click on the preferences tab (on the left side of vcdeasy) and then on the cdrdao tab (on top of the application) select the driver to use, buffer, velocity, etc ...

    Hope this will help you.
