  1. I am using Uleads DVD Workshop to try and create a DVD (funnily enough)

Anyway, my source files are all MPEG2 (widescreen) - 720x405 and DVD workshop is only allowing me to make a disk at 720x576.

Should I have made the original MPEG files that 4:3 resolution with black borders on?, like an SVCD, or is it something to do with the Ulead Software that is the problem ??? any help greatley apprecitated.

    Regards

  2. I am using DVD workshop but i dont know it cares whats inside a frame. If the frame is legal (720/576) it accepts it. I dont use it for encoding just authoring.
On your issue, try to fill the frame with the video, making it anamorphic. Also tell the encoder to treat it as 16:9. Playing it with a software player should stretch it to 16:9 as would a standalone.

    Hope it helps.
