Hello: There must be a better way. I’m having a problem downloading video from Netflix to include the subtitles. For instance, the series Narcos, which has a lot of Spanish. The subtitles show when I watch the program with Netflix on TV but when I download the program there isn’t an option to include the subtitles. -- From what I understand this is normal for Netflix -- So, I downloaded the .srt subtitle file for an episode and edit the text, keeping the Spanish dialog (subtitled in English of course). So I have to watch the program and take note when the actors have lines in Spanish and selectively keep those subtitles in tact and delete the rest. A laborious process indeed. Then edit the video to add the edited subtitle file - There’s got to be a better way. -- I’m mostly ignorant of this video stuff and PC knowledge but barely smart enough to learn (for an old man) -- I appreciate any suggestions that any of you can throw my way. (I’m running Windows 11) -- Thanks Herb

  2. Can't help with the download, but for editing subtitles there's a very good option: Aegisub.

  3. I do not have Netflix so I can't help with that.
You might try searching for a website that has Forced subtitles.
If there is one then you should be able to add those.

Or contact Netflix & ask how to download the video with the subtitles in tact.
The problem with that is it would be all the subtitles not just the non-English ones.
