  1. For many years now I have run several concurrent instances of DVBDream tuned into my Hauppauge Quad DVB-T tuner, TBS DVB-S quad, and two USB DVB-T dongles all without any issues.

That's 10 instances with all the tuners using the BDA interface at the same time - recording simultaneously without a problem.

Now, without any obvious changes (though probably a Windows update), in the past week or so (late Aug/early Sep '25), I cannot have more than one instance running via the BDA interface - all others have to now use the StreamReader interface.

    General Hardware Fault!

    Cannot Initialize DVB Hardware! ErrorCode:3
Application will work in Offline Mode
Please try StreamReader device interface (Go to main menu->Options->Device and select "StreamReader")

    OK

Is anyone else experiencing this issue at all - possibly even have a fix?

(Frustratingly as well, StreamReader on DVBDream cannot access the third and fourth tuners of the TBS quad.)

  2. Hello im having the same issue on a fresh install of windows 11, did you find a fix?

  3. Unfortunately not. I was considering the option of a fresh Windows install, but your experience suggests it's not a solution. I did have a search to see what updates to Windows could potentially have caused this, but I'm no expert in such things. I would also imagine the number of people this affects is minimal.
