  1. I currently have an issue with PotPlayer which I am not sure how to fix.

I have been using SW decoding for a really long time until I noticed an issue with some scenes. Sometimes, there will be an after image, as in the last frame of a sequence is partially faded out, and continues to remain even when a new part of the scene loads in.

This image should be completely black

Now, if I enable HW mode instead. The issue is solved, however, this happens for around 9 seconds before fixing itself

If I fast forward, rewind, or pause, the green lines/glitches return for 9-10 seconds then dissappear. The image is also slightly brighter and softer than SW decoding. Is there any way to stop the weird after image happening with SW decoding?

  2. Check Preferences -> Video -> Colorspace -> YCbCr to RGB color range make sure it's set to Full (RGB: 0-255, PC standard).

Make sure all the Colors Controls (just below the above setting) are set to 50.0%. Make sure you have all filters/shaders/effects turned off.

  3. I figured it out. It was Temporal Noise Reducer/Temporal Denoise that was enabled causing the issue. I must've accidentally enabled it since it can be activated by pressing CTRL+M
