Hey,
I did captures with VirtualDub and switched the VCR recently.
Some of the captures do have these lines, all in the same area, others don't.
Does somebody know what these lines are?
I would appreciate any help.

Looks like a lines dropout in the tape (probable), or a bad line TBC correction (unlikely). Try another player with the defective tapes.

I should add, the VCR does not have a line-TBC, just "Video stabilization" whatever JVC means by that.
It is a HR-S5970 -

Never seen that artifact before, I would connect the VCR directly to a TV to see if the VCR is fine first before delving into more troubleshooting.
