Hi everyone, i'm starting to create some bluray discs on tmpgenc authoring works 4 and it takes hours (20h) to create a BD25 I have no idea what configurations I should have for the rendering to be faster and more efficient, I currently use an Intel Core 2 Duo with LGA 775 ASUS P5G41T-M LX2/BR, no video card. Could someone give me a tip on what equipment to use?

You're probably not going to like the answer, but anything more modern that what you've got will speed things up.

To give you an idea, my previous system was a Core i5-750, which according to this comparison site, is 83% faster than yours (I picked the E8600 for yours). Mine took ages to encode anything HD (which includes Bluray encoding). I'm talking about an hour or more to encode 5 minutes of video. My new system (see my bio) encodes that 5 minutes in around 2 minutes, depending on the effects I have put on the video.

The encoding speed achieved depends on the CPU and the graphics card (if the encoder uses the GPU) and also on the encoder itself.

First, research what TMPGenc specifications uses/recommends for encoding/making blurays. That will give you an idea of whether you should prioritise a CPU or GPU. The TMPGenc website should have the recommended specs.

Unfortunately, any newer CPU or GPU will require a newer motherboard. you're basically looking at a new(er) machine.

Adobe Premiere has a feature that lets you encode videos as H.264 Blu-ray. The audio and the video are encoded separately. However, Authoring Works 7 can multiplex(combine) the audio and video. When you create Blu-ray discs, Authoring Works 7 does not re-encode the videos. Therefore, it cuts way down on the encoding time.
