  1. Hi,

I have a simple question about burning DVD

I have a bran new HP 200i and successfully bruned my first DVD from differents clips from my DV cam (capture with Premiere, burned with Sonic ). :D

I've made different chapter (1 for each clip).

The problem is that when I play my DVD, it pauses (about 1 or 2 seconds) between each chapter freezing on the last picture of the chapter.

How can I avoid that and still have chapter at the exact place I want it on my DVD. Should I buy and other burning software?

  2. Try this, note the exact length of each clip. Then merge all the clips together into a single movie. You can do this either in Premier before exporting or use TmpGenc or look in the tools section to your left for other tools that can achieve this. Then simply set your chapter points according to the length of each clip. i.e Chapter 1 at length of clip1, chapter2 at Clip1 + clip2 etc. This should then play smoothly.

    Have Fun

  3. Thank's,

but I'm not sure that I can set the chapter on the exact frame with Sonic.

Any suggestion of software that can do that?

    What about the 2gig limit?

  4. With Sonic MyDVD 2.x and DVDit you certainly can set chapter points at exact time points, not sure about MyDVD 3.0 though coz that is quite different from what I have seen. As long as you burn from your DVD authoring program straight to your DVD there should be no problems with filesizes on the DVD. You might have a problem on your HD if you are using win98/ME and FAT32 filesystem. It really is worth upgrading to win2k/XP and useing NTFS to get rid of this problem
