did you actually try to play the output file?

Yes. The output file is unplayable (1mb). It "downloads" it in less than a seccond.

User @lomero found a workaround about this. Thanks so much for that!
Basically, you have to download the m3u8 files (audio and video ones you select), and you need to edit part of their code out of them.

By that, you avoid downloading an introduction "Star+" video, and download the actual show you want.

did you add the authorization headers like in the first post?

in general that error means that the response is not correct, but that can be for lots of reasons.
add a line to the l3.py script to print out the response from the license server

The authorization header from the license request not the m3u8. Try reading some of the stickied threads for more info

It looks like you are copying the M3U8 header, not the license header.

your code for RE is totally wrong ...

you can use --key kid:key but this is for widev encryption (and need mpd)

your code download from m3u8 and from here you can see: ERROR: Failed to get KEY, ignore: One or more errors occurred

because your m3u8 link it's aes encrypted. so need another key (HEX) and --custom-hls-key xxxx (aes key is 32 character)

it seems removing --use-shaka-packager fixed the issue, now video and audio download, decrypt and merge correctly

from your post#18 you have Vid *SAMPLE_AES_CTR 1280x720

so aes encryption. and aes required another key (32 long) not kid:key
