  1. Hi Folks,

So, I used my phone today to record the clouds for a project. I left it for three hours pointed at the clouds. I ended the video and attempted to play and it was so large, it couldn't even open it.

My Samsung doesn't even recognize it as belonging in the Gallery, so I have to locate the file and open it -> click video -> and I get: Unable to play video. Unsupported file type.

Any ideas? I've downloaded a copy onto my computer and VLC and DIVx won't play it either.

    Try 64 bit MPV https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpv-player-windows/files/
What size is the storage on your phone, was there enough free space...

Apparently my phone was full, but on the storage menu it said it had a very little amount of space left. I'll give that a shot now, thanks!

  5. The last thing written when creating an mp4 file is the atom that contains all the information about what's in the file. If your phone filled up while recording there was probably no storage left to write that atom.

Some of the mp4 recovery tools might be able to recover the video and audio. Like Remo Repair MOV.

  6. Copy the corrupted mp4 to your computers HD, then delete it on your phone.
Create a short new mp4 on your phone, with the same settings as for the corrupted one.
Then copy this new mp4 to your computer also.
    Finally download this one: https://www.videohelp.com/download/mp4repair-1.zip
Start mp4repair.exe, select the short working mp4 as reference file, select your corrupted mp4 as corrupt file, click execute
