Hi, I was trying to capture some dvd that I got via ES10 player to my VCR V8000. And while I was capturing I was testing all inputs and outputs on vcr, and via s-video on the front and on the back everything is working, via video line in on the back also, but when I connected video line in on the front I got no picture, audio on front is working. Strange is that front s-video works but video line in not... Switches are set correctly.
Is that video line in maybe just for camera or something is not right on my VCRs front panel ?

Probably disconnected or bad contact, you need to open the VCR and find out if you have the skills.

Already did, I have skill. But I couldn't find any disconnected cable so maybe some cold solder or something then. Need to do further investigation about that.

If there is a physical switch to switch between S-Video and composite check that as well.

Switch is working normally, because I switch between s-video/line when I connect everything on the back of VCR, and when I switch cables from back input to front input on line audio is working, but video is not. On s-video(on switch) when I connect on front everything is working.

 EDIT:
I'll let you know when I find out what was it.Last edited by Thermaltake; 4th Jan 2025 at 14:57.

	Correction. I tested now again.

Both audio and video RCA and S-video are not working on the front. My dvd player is connected on out's s-video and RCA. Back Audio and Video via RCA and S-video is working normally. I tried switching S-video/Front and Line/Front when they are connected to the front, and nothing. So the whole front is not working for some reason. I also check path of those wires they go on the bottom board, and everything seems connected.Last edited by Thermaltake; 5th Jan 2025 at 09:06.
