VCD Player can't play my home made VCD

I used tmpgenc to convert the AVI to mpeg1. And then use nero (also tried easycd creator) to burn it to a VCD, but the vcd player can't play the VCD. The AVI file is created using microsoft avi codec in Premeire6. Anybody having the same trouble? how can i fix it?

Did you use the standard template? have you tried with a cd-rw? have you checked the dvd player compatibility list to see if there are any issues? did you try diffrent brands of cd-r? you might want to try making a small file converted with nero and try to play that on your player... it's quality may not be the greatest but at least you'll know your player accepts a standard cd-r vcd
