  1. I tried copying a DVD-R (authored and burned with Ulead DVD Movie Factory) to another DVD-R using Nero. The original looks good. The copy looks terrible, the picture lost alot of quality. Also one chapter wouldn't load, it just made a strange noise and stayed frozen. I used Verbatim DVD-R's. And I have Que DVD Burner. I have Burned many other DVD's that look and sound great, but this is the first DVD-R to DVD-R copy i have ever tried. What program should I be using? (Since Nero sucks) And does it matter if I do the read and write on the same drive? (as that way it creates an image first)

Well, actually, it doesn't - it's the best I've run across. I do (successfully, I might add) DVD-R to DVD-R copies all the time and I have never had a failure. The only difference between our two proceedures, is I copy directly from a DVD drive to a DVD-R, without the intermediate image stage. This problem would usually indicate bad media, but since you are using Verbatim media, I'm assuming that this is not the problem.

What I suggest to you, is to don't create an image, but copy the files directly to a directory on your HD, then use the DVD-Video setting in NERO and drag the files to the VIDEO_TS directory. Then burn using NERO. Try it - you'll like it.
