From VHS to digital: Diagonal lines even after using QTGMC

Hi, I'm digitizing some VHS (I'm using an Hauppauge USB-Live2 and AmarecTV, because with virtualdub the videos were going out of sync) and when I watch the video I see diagonal lines (as you can see from the below pictures), although they don't remind me of the classic interlaced video effect

I used StaxRip with the settings as per the image to convert to mp4, but in the encoded video those lines still remain

Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance

those diagonal lines have nothing to do with interlacing, thus QTGMC isn't the right tool to tackle them.
Just from the screenshot DeFreq (http://avisynth.org.ru/defreq/defreq.html) might be something that could help.
-> if you want help, you need to share a sample since a screenshot doesn't really tell anything about the temporal part which is essential in video

Thanks for Your reply. I downloaded the plugin and put it in the auto load folder of StaxRip, but I cannot see it in Apps --> Manage --> Avisynth, because it is not 64-bit. Unfortunately, I don't know how to install it manually

http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/squid_80/ has a 64bit defreq version. (haven't tested -> works, but requires fftw3.dll lying next to the defreq.dll)
Also you will need multiple defreq-calls with adjusted parameters. (yeah, this is a pain)
FFTQuiver could also work.
Quick&Dirty would be to use Removegrain(20)

I think it's something beyond my knowledge, for now, I have no experience with avisynth. I could use something like Neat Video for VirtualDub maybe. Thanks for your time Selur
